Brayer Buildings

As part of a school-wide architecture unit, second graders created these cityscape scenes.  After looking at pictures of the skylines of various large cities around the world, students set to work creating their own.

Each student used several different colors of printing ink and different size inking brayers to roll buildings out onto a large piece of white paper.  After the ink had dried, they went back in with permanent markers to add windows, doors, sidewalks, signs, flowers--whatever their creative minds could think of!
