Finish the Picture
Art is about being creative!
This project works great as both a way to foster creativity and help students work independently. Each student is asked to find a picture in a magazine and cut it out. Next they glue the magazine image to a piece of drawing paper and use their imagination to fill in the rest of the page. I allow them to use whatever materials they want as long as they use good craftsmanship and make their picture interesting.
