Marbleized Paper
Creating marbleized paper is an excellent end of the year activity for elementary students of all ages. This activity reinforces ideas we use all year long like color theory, team work, and creativity.
The students work in teams to scrape chalk into a dishpan full of water and then carefully swirl their shavings to make an interesting design. Once they are content with their color choices and swirled design, they gently lay a piece of paper on top of the water. The results are stunning and exciting each time.
