Ceramics II students begin the year by creating a series of tiles with additive and subtractive relief. They may choose to have their tiles relate to a current socio-political issue or to focus their theme on an architectural style of their choosing.
Each student must design several tiles that will function together to bring awareness to the issue they have chosen. Emphasis is placed on design and advertising principles as students demonstrate their understanding of visual imagery.
